Independent Speech and Language Therapy Service for Children and Young People
Therapy Process
The type of therapy plan that your child receives, will depend on the outcome of their assessment.
Once a report has been written I can arrange a telephone or online call, to discuss your child's next steps with you.
Thearpy Plan
Direct and Indirect
Direct Therapy.
Direct therapy will be used where the speech and language therapist has identified your child's specific area(s) of difficulty following their assessment.
Direct therapy is a 1:1 session with the therapist and can be either:
-
Weekly therapy
-
Fortnightly therapy
-
Block therapy (usually a 6 week block).
Indirect Therapy
Following your child's assessment, it maybe identified that your child does not require speech and language intervention. However, there maybe areas of difficultly that you can support your child with at home under the guidance of Hannah. She will work with you by demonstrating specific activities that you can use.
Should you need further advice and support the therapist can arrange a check in session either by telephone or online, depending on what is most beneficial.
Therapy Fees
Payment Terms
Fees for you child's assessment or sessions will be invoiced to you via email, before the date of your assessment. The invoice must be paid in full in advance by the date stated on the invoice. Any unpaid invoices will result in the appointment being cancelled.
